We will be at Suffolk Food Hall Tractor Day this weekend Aug 25th

yes we are still crafting away as a group !! 

STILL very active as a group = thriving with lost of new members!! 
(But more of that later) 
My fault that new postings have been errr somewhat awry .... many apologies to all our followers and customers!! 

Anyway do come and catch up with us at

So lots to see - apart from vintage tractors and farm machinery 
PLUS of course ....all our wonderful crafts - well a selection of us will be there -

Our annual Autumn Exhibition at Ipswich High School in Woolverstone 
This is a delightful Historic building setting and lovely grounds to admire and walk in - makes this the perfect setting for our annual exhibition
 
Entry through the middle door - parking bays directly opposite the gate

Many of our crafters have not only a local reputation for originality and expertise but international.
So you can be assured of a high standard of execution and unusual items to purchase for yourself or as a gift.
An elegant surrounding ... hassle free ..... tea/coffee and cakes to enjoy while you contemplate the items you have seen and wish to buy or have bought.
 
 
This year we have a new group of guest exhibitors with Barge Ware, textiles, hand dyed silks, cushions, fused glass, and ceramics

CRAFT SHOW this weekend April 2-3rd @ HOLBROOK 10-5pm

Come and meet some of our crafters at the Peninsula Sports Hall where we will be having our SPRING CRAFT SHOW

She will have some stunning pieces for sale
 
Rebecca Turbitt - Secretary: who makes some stunning ceramics plaques plus beaded jewellery - all very unusual and quirky yet fun!
her latest piece is already SOLD!
So be quick to get the best choice this weekend
 
Carol Duckenfield of 'Duckenfield Doodles'
explaining her graphic art to some very interested customers last Autumn at Ipswich High School for Girls - where we had a huge exhibition and sales area
She has a range of new cards and framed artwork on display this weekend
She is a new member and her work has taken the crafting group by storm - it is very popular and waltzes out the door!
 
Margaret Cossey - our Advertising Secretary - displaying her hand quilted cushions and her handmade silver jewellery
 
Sue Brudenell - with her popular cards and bags - a long standing member
 
Sharon Haddock - our master jeweller who hand polishes her stones and mounts them in sterling silver or copper settings - also makes fun fimo pieces (very popular with the youngsters) - busy as the cash desk last Autumn with Barbara Hooper-Greenhill of EMBAR Pottery (busy wrapping someones purchase) and Maggie Lamb (in striped crocheted jacket) our world famous quilter, also one of our most longstanding members (former Chairman)

Sharon & Rebecca at our craft demonstration day - we will be having another later in the year where everyone demonstrates their craft. This is a fun event and very popular with our guests who not only have a chance to walk around an exhibition of work but also can talk to the crafters and elarn about their work - the how, whys etc
So watch out for this event in a few months time!!

This is a new venue for us - and one we plan to use again in the future as it is closer to town.

We will have  all our usual members plus new members which also means new crafts
Everyone will have new things to offer and tempt you . .. .  plus of course tea/coffee/cake to enjoy while you ponder over what to take home with you.
Members are busy baking some yummy cakes - so pleas do come
I cant eat it all!!
 
You can meet the crafters and discuss what they do, and how they do it.
Maybe even ask for your own commission
 
Ohhh ..............and we will be in the new Peninsula Sports Pavilion - so turn into the school, drive past the school block and the sports hall is at the back - lots of free parking!

Our craft show today ........................and tomorrow!

Well things went well today - lots of super nice comments about the show and yes it is the ebst yet (from the regulars)
Lots new people as well - from seeing our work on Art on the Prom in Felixstowe last September

So do come and see all our work - it is ALL handmade - no manufactured things imported etc
All the work is original and made by the members of the group  and their guests - over 30 artisans exhibiting

Also for all you quilter's there are lots of quilts on show (they would make a show in themselves!)
